Two Ways to Refer a Patient

Sedation-free, cutting-edge treatments available at Arkansas Children's

Arkansas Children’s is proud to be the only provider in the state to offer transnasal endoscopies (TNE) as an effective and more convenient option for some pediatric patients. This sedation-free procedure takes approximately 20 minutes and allows patients to return to their regular activities immediately following the clinic visit.
The Arkansas Children’s GI team sees itself as one of many partners collaborating to improve pediatric GI health, offering pediatricians consultations and connecting patients to financial support and mental health services for psychology related to behaviors that can improve their medical condition and experience.

Our aerodigestive and pancreas clinics and neorogastroenterology and motility (NGM) program are available to pediatricians in the region needing subspecialty GI diagnostic or treatment support for their patients.

Our multidisciplinary pancreatic team includes anesthesiologists, dietitians, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists (general and advanced endoscopists), geneticists, pathologists, psychologists, radiologists (diagnostic and interventional) and surgeons, all with pediatric-specific training. The team provides treatment and follow-up care for patients with acute pancreatitis, acute recurrent pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and other pancreatic injuries and conditions, such as hyperlipasemia and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.

Our NGM specialists use a multidisciplinary approach and specialized testing to diagnose and manage disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) and gastrointestinal (GI) motility disorders. Manometry and EndoFLIP tests aid in diagnosis of conditions like achalasia, esophageal strictures, gastroparesis, feeding disorders, functional constipation and Hirschsprung disease. Treatments available include: EsoFLIP, pneumatic balloon dilation, and pyloric and anal Botox.
