Dr. Laura L. Sisterhen is a Professor with Tenure of Pediatrics at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Medical Director of the General Pediatric Clinic at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH). Dr. Sisterhen also serves as the Director of Quality for Primary Care. 

Dr. Sisterhen received her medical degree from University of Tennessee at Memphis in 2001. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at UAMS and joined the UAMS faculty in 2004. She received a Master of Public Health degree from UAMS in 2008. Dr. Sisterhen is board certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academic Pediatric Association, and the Academy of Communications in Healthcare.

Dr. Sisterhen has been awarded the Dean's Educational Excellence Award, Best Faculty Teacher on the junior student pediatric clerkship, and the Red Sash Award by popular vote of medical students as an outstanding teacher. In 2014, she received the distinguished Drs. Joanna and Robert Seibert Award and was recognized for significant and continuous contributions to excellence in healthcare and to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
