UNITCALL Study

Identifying markers of abnormal neurocognitive trajectories during chemotherapy treatment of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Study Description:

We are looking for children between the ages of 3 and 10 to help us learn about typical brain development. We will compare brain development in kids with and without cancer to find the impact of cancer treatment on the brain. The study team will use puzzles and games to measure your child’s brain function. Additionally, parents will be asked to complete questionnaires about your family and child.

Study Eligibility:

  • Newly diagnosed ALL patients
  • B/T-Cell ALL
  • Between the ages of 3 and 10 years old
  • Treatment with chemotherapy only
  • Able to understand English
  • Alert and oriented with intact memory
  • Typically-developing control
  • Between the ages of 3 and 10 years old
  • Able to understand English
  • Alert and oriented with intact memory
