Dr. Alexandra Theisen's research interests are largely focused on systemic lupus erythematosus. She participates in the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) Workgroup focused on neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE), which aims to further define/evaluate manifestations, treatment, and prognosis in patients with NPSLE. Currently, Dr. Theisen is working on a project focused on health-related quality of life in adolescents with cutaneous manifestations of systemic lupus.
