No parent wants their child to have surgery. However, when surgery is needed, your child is in good hands with the general surgery team Arkansas Children’s.
Our general surgery unit offers care to children needing all types of surgical procedures and features a subspecialty in urology. We take a multidisciplinary approach to your child’s care, working together with other specialty units in the hospital including respiratory and urology. Our care team includes physicians, surgeons, nurses, physician’s assistants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, clinical nutritionists and child life therapists.
Located on the third floor of the main hospital, adjacent to the green elevators, the general surgery unit features 11 private rooms, all of which can support isolation.
Visiting Hours: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
A family waiting area is available.
