In all we do, our focus at Arkansas Children's is working to meet the needs of children and their families to restore children to health, avoid preventable injuries and promote good health practices. From our early roots as a home for orphaned children, through our early years as a place for children with burn or orthopedic needs, to our role today as the pediatric health safety net for the children of Arkansas, we work to provide outstanding clinical care, prepare professionals to serve children in the future and to collaborate with others in the community to improve the health status of children in our state.
Our community benefit strategy is based on our triennial Community Health Needs Assessments and involves a multi-faceted approach to using our time, talent, and resources to improve the lives of children and their families.

Our community engagement efforts champion children by providing a positive, hands-on presence outside the walls of the hospital in communities all across the state.
Arkansas Children's Hospital conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years to seek community feedback to develop plans to improve the health of the community.
